First post.  Terrible excuse I know - we've been busy.  Really busy!  But we've been talking for a long time about getting this blog off the ground, and today was declared 'B' day by @prboy. So here we are.

It's been just over a year since @LitmanLive and I joined the Consolidated fold, and time has flown by.  In the last twelve months we've set up our digital and social media stall here in the Covent Garden office, commenced an agency-wide social media education and training programme and started integrating social media activity into project and retained campaigns for clients in both London and Edinburgh.  In this short space of time we've delivered digital and social media work for a whole range of brands and organisations - MTV, several parts of the Scottish Government, The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, learndirect and Mishcon de Reya just to name a few.  On top of that we've got lots more exciting work on the boil with a number of other clients, and an appetite for more in 2010.

As for the blog, I'm not sure what direction it will take.  Does the world need yet another PR agency blog full of opinions about what's going on in social media and the rest of the industry?  Probably not.  But hopefully over the next few weeks and months we'll find our niche and give you a flavour of the type of arm-waving, excitable, world-to-rights discussions that usually go on in the Cross Keys after work every night.

Finally, as I've Tweeted about a million times, I'm looking to hire someone to join the digital and social media team here.  The role will be anything from AM-AD level depending on the right candidate.  You'll need good, proven agency experience, have strong communications skills beyond digital and social media (it's not the be all and end all you know - PR still counts for a lot), and be keen to join what I believe is one of the PR industry's very best integrated communications agencies.  If you'd like to know more or have a chat then drop me a line paulb (at) consolidatedpr.com.
